THE SATURDAY NIGHT KID (Paramount, 1929)
This film stars "It Girl" Clara Bow and Jean Arthur as two sisters - department store employees out to land a wealthy husband. The trouble begins when both girls fall for the same guy, and the crafty Arthur outmaneuvers Bow to temporarily win his affections. Arthur's gold-digging ways are soon discovered during a wild costume party, and the goodhearted Bow wins out in the end.
